Josh Dean,HeadShave

Since 2011, Eta Tau has held a head-shave fundraiser that gives the highest bidder free reign of a participating brother’s hair. This year, seventeen brothers put the fate of their hairdo into the hands of many skilled (and unskilled) hair stylists in our second annual event. The head-shave saw many perplexed looks on brothers’ faces, not yet knowing what crazy design they would have to wear around campus for the next three days without any covering whatsoever. Some of the haircuts almost turned out to be everyday displays, while others drew hilarious, awkward looks from passersby, or questions from professors of whether or not they needed to seek psychological help. Most brothers wore their new haircuts with pride; some others just couldn’t bear being seen and burrowed away until the time came to shave it on Thursday. The turnout during bidding was very positive, and we would like to thank everyone who turned in a bid, whether winning or not. We were able to raise more than our pledged amount, coming in with a total of $391.00 that will be used toward the benefit of the Chapter. Come next year, we only aim to keep on improving year to year, and outdo 2012.
